Chocolate Lover's Weekend

Celebrate the art of chocolate in our second Chocolate Lover's Weekend at Proximity Hotel! The highlight of the weekend will be the Chocolate Extravaganza Wine Dinner on Friday, October 4 at 7 PM. Explore the savory and sweet with a five-course dinner featuring fresh finds from the farmers market. The evening will be hosted by Leigh Hesling, Print Works Bistro/Proximity Executive Chef, and Dan Rattagan, Chocolatier and owner of French Broad Chocolates in Asheville, NC. Each course will be expertly matched with wine or Champagne. The final course will be the "Ultimate Chocolate Finale." (menu coming soon!) On Saturday, join Chef Leigh Hesling for a very special Chocolate Cooking Class at 12:30 PM. You’ll get an informative class, a fun experience and a wonderful three-course lunch. Two tickets are included in "Weekend Cooking Class Package" below.
About Dan Rattagan: Dan opened the wildly popular French Broad Chocolates in downtown Asheville in 2008. This year, he built a nearby Chocolate Factory, the "bean-to-bar" facility uses fair trade cacao (cocoa) from Peru to create chocolate for their new line of
chocolate bars as well as creations at the Lounge. Dan will talk about his craft chocolate-making: from sourcing cacao in Peru to roasting the beans via his prototype solar bean roaster to the creating the final chocolate creations that you will enjoy for dessert. |
